For Halloween 2022, we wanted to feature three of the scariest and most influential Halloween characters in recent pop culture and give them the creepiest animation treatment possible.
The king of all Kaiju, Godzilla.
The biggest creepypasta of all time, Slenderman
The scariest ghost of the 90’s, Kayako Saeki
Godzilla is one of the most recognizable icons in all of pop culture history. He's been around for almost 80 years now, but he's still just as scary as ever. He's also one of our favorite monsters to animate because he has such a rich history with so many different movies and video games, each with its own set of unique interpretations.
For this animation, the team focused on the biggest thing he’s got going for him, his size.
Slenderman is one of the biggest creepypasta characters of all time. The original story spawned a whole new genre of horror stories online, and it's still going strong today.
Much like how a player loses in the game, the team emulated the sense of fear and dread that the game evokes when you get caught by Slenderman
Kayako from "The Grudge" was probably one of the first ghosts ever introduced into pop culture—and she's still scaring people today with her creepy long hair and pale face! Body horror is a huge subsection of today’s horror culture, so the team thought, what would be the creepiest way we can exaggerate Sadako’s features?
Hair. Lots and lots of hair.
